Tips on timing

SyncPower has strict rules for entering time information for synchronization.
In particular, you must strictly follow these:

∙ Set the time information with exact timing
∙ Do not synchronize lyrics with breathing or humming

You can adjust the timing of synchronization in PetitLyrics, as well as timing for displaying lyrics when you view them.

Tips on refrain

On the CD lyrics card (official lyrics), the refrain part is not usually repeated even though the singer repeats it in the song.

∙ If the lyrics card (official lyrics) shows a repeated phrase (*** x3), enter the phrase (***) three times.
∙ If there is a phrase not shown on the lyrics card (official lyrics) but matches a phrase from the song, enter the phrase exactly as it is in the song.

For example, if the lyrics card shows “Hey x3” and what you hear is, “Hey Hey Hey,” SyncPower enters it as “Hey Hey Hey”.
Also, if the lyrics card shows the phrase “I love you” once but actually “I love you” is repeated many times at the end of the song, SyncPower repeats the phrase as many times as it is actually sung.

Synced lyrics need to be synchronized with the singing.

CHECK! Do not enter any phrase which is not shown on the lyrics card (official lyrics).

Eliminate strange line breaks in loaded lyrics text

When a text file for lyrics is loaded into PetitLyrics Maker, it may break a line in a weird way.

PetitLyrics Maker limits the number of characters per line to 32 characters. Lines exceeding this limit are forced to a new line.
In this case, a free text editor, Sakura Editor, provides a convenient function to set the number of characters for a line break.
By setting the number of characters per line to 32 characters, a line break occurs automatically when the character count reaches this limit and you can adjust the number of characters per line in advance.

  • 1. Launch Sakura Editor and choose from the menu bar: Settings > Settings for Each Type.
  • 2. In Settings for Each Type, find Line Break Characters under Layout on the Screen tab, enter 32, and click OK.
  • 3. You can now create lyrics text using Sakura Editor, save it, and load it into PetitLyrics Maker.

*Sakura Editor is not developed by SyncPower and we do not offer any support or guarantees. Please use them at your own discretion.

Make lyrics disappear when the singing ends (by displaying a blank line)

If you don’t want the final lyrics line to remain on the screen after the singing ends, add a blank line with time information to the end to make the lyrics disappear in the last line (by displaying the blank line).

By creating a blank line with time information at the end, lyrics will not be displayed after the singing ends.
